What this covers

This policy explains what Lobby Players ("we", "the site") collects when you host or join a game room, and how it's used. Lobby Players is a small, independently run site — see the Contact page for any privacy questions or requests.

What we collect

• If you host a room: an email address, a password (stored as a one-way hash, never in plain text), and a display name, to create your host account.
• If you join a room as a player: just the nickname you type in — no account, no email, no signup at all.
• Gameplay data: whatever a room's game actually needs to run — scores, round answers, chat-style guesses, and so on. This is scoped to the room and isn't linked to a real-world identity beyond the nickname you chose.
• Scavenger Hunt photo uploads: if your room plays Scavenger Hunt, uploaded photos are stored on our server and shown to that room's host and players. They're automatically deleted within 48 hours regardless of whether the room is still active.
• Cookies: a session cookie to keep a host logged in, and a per-room player token so refreshing the page doesn't kick you out of a room you already joined. Neither is used for tracking outside the site.

How long we keep it

Rooms that go inactive are automatically cleaned up, which removes their game data along with them. Host accounts persist until you request deletion (see below) since they're what lets you host again later.

Advertising and analytics

Lobby Players is free to use and supported by ads served through Google AdSense, and we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. Both may set cookies or use similar technology in your browser — including, for AdSense, cookies used to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.

You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google's own settings at adssettings.google.com, and learn more about how Google uses data from partner sites at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Who we share data with

We don't sell your data. It's shared only with the service providers needed to run the site — our hosting provider, and the Google services described above — and never for any purpose beyond running Lobby Players and (for Google) serving ads/analytics under their own policies.

Your choices

To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your host account and its data, email rahman.mdateequr@gmail.com from the address on the account. Players never create an account, so there's nothing tied to a player beyond a room's own lifetime.

Children's privacy

Lobby Players is intended for a general, workplace-team audience and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "last updated" date at the top of this page will change too. Check back occasionally if you'd like to stay current.
